Oracle and Java Trainers

Oracle and Java training for Seven Introductory courses

Project Description:

The primary objective is for employees to increase their proficiency and overall knowledge of various technical skillsets (e.g. Oracle, JAVA, OBIEE, TOAD, APEX, etc.) in various roles, such a developers, users, administrators and requirement writers.

The contractor shall provide Oracle and Java training. Instructors shall be well qualified, having a minimum of three (3) years teaching experience and a minimum of three (3) years professional experience. Training delivery will be on-site live instructor training, with possibility to telecast onsite live training for students who are unable to attend the onsite training. Total number of students will not exceed the contracted maximum class size (12). Training courseware will include workbooks (softcover and electronic versions), practice exercises, and study guides. Sight impaired participants will be provided all reading material or books in electronic text form.

Training will be conducted Monday through Friday. Contractor personnel are expected to conform to normal operating hours (8:00am to 4:30pm). 

Introduction to Oracle Application Express (APEX) 5

Duration: 4 days

Course Description: Hands-on introductory course where participants learn how to create small simple web applications from scratch. Participants learn how to move data and applications from a single user environment such as a spreadsheet or Microsoft Access application to a database repository.

Learning Objectives:

•Discuss the Oracle APEX architecture
•Use Structured Query Language (SQL) Workshop/Utilities
•Build a database-centric Web application using Application Builder
•Build a Websheet application
•Administer an APEX workspace
•Use Team Development to manage APEX development projects

Oracle GoldenGate 12c: Fundamentals for Oracle

Duration: 4 days

Course Description: Hands-on introductory course where participants learn how to replicate Oracle-to-Oracle databases. Participants learn Oracle GoldenGate architecture by exploring the various product features.

Learning Objectives:

• Design replication solutions using GoldenGate products and environments
• Prepare the source and target database
• Issue GoldenGate Software Command Interface (GGSCI) commands
• Configure, start, stop, and monitor Change Capture, Change Delivery, and Initial Load
• Manage Extract trails and files using Data Pump and utilities such as logdump
• Control network transmission using compression and encryption

Java Standard Edition (SE) 8 Fundamentals

Duration: 5 days

Course Description: Hands-on introductory course where participants explore the fundamentals of object-oriented programming using the Java language. Participants learn basic functions, commands, and coding.

Learning Objectives:

• Use Java programming language constructs to create a Java technology application
• Use decision and looping constructs and methods to dictate program flow
• Understand basic object oriented concepts such as inheritance, encapsulation, and abstraction
• Use and manipulate object references, and to write simple error handling code
• Use the new SE 8 java.time / java.time.format packages to format and print the local date and time
• Specify a data modification by passing a predicate lambda expression to the Collections class
• Understand Java arrays and write code to create and use arrays
• Write Java classes using inheritance
• Create and use interfaces
• Use the concept of polymorphism in an application
• Understand how Java's exception-handling mechanism works and learn how to apply exception-handling to Java applications
• Understand and use inner classes
• Learn how to use elements from the Java API library, including the Collections classes

Create Analyses and Dashboards using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)

Duration: 2 days

Course Description: Hands-on introductory course where participants use OBIEE to develop requests for data and then create views such as tables, graphs, and pivot tables. Participants learn how to incorporate these views into Dashboards to provide powerful metric and analytical tools.

Learning Objectives:

• Describe OBIEE architecture, components, and features
• Construct analyses using measures (fact tables), dimensions, and dimension hierarchies
• Create views such as tables, pivot tables, and graphs
• Design dashboards, which incorporate views, narratives, links, gauges, and additional objects
• Customize dashboards to meet particular needs of individuals and the organization
• Configure filters and prompts
• Utilize quality design practices
• Manage content and access in the Presentation Catalog

Oracle 12c Foundations: SQL 7/SQL Plus

Duration: 5 days

Course Description: Hands-on introductory course where participants learn SQL Basics and SQL*Plus. Participants learn about relational databases and how to access them through SQL and SQL*Plus. Participants learn basic commands and statement writing, how to create and modify tables and databases, and how to use views, indexes and sequences.

Course Description: Hands-on introductory course where participants construct various SQL statements. Participants learn how to update data, delete data, create tables, data relationships, and briefly use indexes. Participants create various types of reports and web reports using the SQL*Plus interface.

Course Description: Hands-on introductory course where participants learn the practical use of World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards (including XSL and XML Schema) and implementation tools and technologies. Participants learn basic programming language useful with Java, .NET, C++, and any other programming orientation. Participants learn to apply XML to projects at an architectural and line by line coding level.

Learning Objectives:

• Write well-formed XML documents
• Model business requirements using XML
• Handle XML reserved characters
• Validate an XML document with a Document Type Definition (DTD) and a Schema
• Centralize data and mark up definition with entities
• Create DTDs and Schemas using XML tools
